Alan Goodley has been an acting coach and mentor for over 16 years and utilizes his experiences as a director, producer and working actor in his teachings. He has taught at the Van Mar Academy of Motion Picture and Television Acting in Los Angeles, and the New School of Drama in Toronto before starting The Acting Academy. He is a member of TAAS, Theatre Ontario, SAG, AFTRA, and ACTRA.

Different methods and techniques are tailored to respond to each student. By working with each student individually, the focus is put on developing their inner strengths. Classes are ongoing and you may join at any time. They are held in a comfortable and creative atmosphere with no more than 14 students per class. Each class is a minimum of 3 hours in length. Mr. Goodley utilizes the teachings of Ivan Markota, Uta Hagen, Sanford Meisner, Lee Strasberg, Robert Lewis, and Constantin Stanislavski.

We offer a six week beginner program, a more intensive 12 week intermediate program, and a one year program designed for those students who wish to become working actors. Private coaching is available for monologues, upcoming auditions, or career guidance at a cost of $40 for one hour.
